Partner companies & requirements
TidyPalm is a free matching service, not a cleaning, window cleaning, pressure washing or carpet cleaning company. When you submit a request and agree to be contacted, we share it with up to 3 independent companies ("partners") that serve your ZIP code. Partners pay us for each request. They set their own prices and you hire and pay them directly.
Who may contact you
Only partner companies that serve your area and match the type of work you requested. House cleaning requests go to cleaning companies; window, pressure washing, gutter, solar and turf requests go to exterior cleaning companies; carpet, upholstery, rug, tile and mattress requests go to carpet and upholstery cleaning companies. If a carpet request mentions flooding or water damage, it goes to water damage restoration companies instead. We do not sell your request to anyone else. What we require of partners
- An active business license in the cities they serve (California does not license residential house cleaning at the state level).
- General liability insurance, with a certificate available to customers on request.
- For employees: workers' compensation coverage as required by California law.
- For commercial janitorial requests: registration with the California Labor Commissioner as a janitorial employer.
- For carpet, upholstery, rug and tile cleaning: cleaning only. Carpet installation, stretching or repair of $1,000 or more (C-15 Flooring) is only routed to partners who hold that CSLB license, and water damage restoration requests go only to restoration companies.
- For windows and exterior cleaning: work limited to 1 to 3 story homes and low-rise buildings (no high-rise or rope-access work), and wash water contained and recovered so it never reaches the curb, gutter or storm drain (Orange County storm water rules).
- Exterior work stays cleaning only. Gutter repair or installation (C-43), solar panel removal or re-racking (C-46 / C-10) and paint-prep washing for jobs of $1,000 or more (C-33) are only routed to partners who hold that CSLB license.
- Agreement to contact customers only about the request they submitted, and to honor opt-out requests.
We ask partners to confirm these requirements when they join. We do not independently verify every item on every job, so before hiring any company we recommend you ask for proof of insurance, confirm their business license, and ask how they screen their workers.
